If you’re reading this post, it means you’ve already created your website and are looking to host it and share it with your friends and colleagues. You’ve come to the right place! In this article, I’ll show you how to publish your website, get a public URL, and share it instantly.
Your website could be as simple as a single HTML page, a PDF file, or a complete site with multiple pages. For example, if it's a portfolio or a corporate website, it will likely have several HTML pages, along with some CSS and JS files.
Host Your Website
Step 1: Zip Your Website Files
To demonstrate this, I’ve created a very simple website that showcases five Olympic sports and provides a brief summary of each. The first step is to create a zip file containing all the website files.
This will result in a zip file that contains all your website’s files.
Step 2: Upload Files to Creatpad
Now, visit the Creatpad website: https://creatpad.com.
Enter a subdomain name, drag and drop your zip file into the drop zone, and hit the ‘Upload and Create Site’ button.
Wait a few seconds for the website files to upload, and voilà, your website is ready.
The website will be viewable at the URL shown above.
Custom Domains
Creatpad automatically assigns a public URL to your website as a subdomain on creatpad.com. You can use this, or if needed, you can easily connect your own domain (e.g., mywebsite.com) to your site. As you’ve seen, using Creatpad, you can host your website with static files instantly. Try it out yourself and let us know about your experience: https://creatpad.com.
